COOLING PERFORMANCE OF THERMOELECTRIC COOLER MODULES: EXPERIMENTAL AND NUMERICAL METHODS

A novel pulse-driving method in which the pulse frequency modulation is was developed by optimising input power owing to duty cycle of rectangular wave enhance cooling efficiency and thermal stability thermoelectric module. The aim this driving have better control cooler module temperature improve its coefficient performance. In method, average current peak drive are 50% with same magnitude performance Peltier dc compared driving. measurement results show that pulse-frequency increased up 102% as constant method. An artificial neural network has been successfully used analyse these experimentally collected data predict When model tested using untrained data, correlation 99% overall prediction error 1.38%. accurate simple analytical equation based on predicted experimental determined MATLAB® Curve Fitting Toolbox. 0.99 root-mean-square 0.074.
